MEP Manager

Position Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and result-oriented Manager – MEP to oversee, plan, coordinate, and execute all Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing activities across construction projects. The candidate will be responsible for ensuring seamless integration of MEP systems with civil and structural components while maintaining project timelines, quality standards, safety compliance, and budget control. The ideal candidate should possess strong technical expertise and proven experience in managing large-scale residential, commercial, or township development projects.

 

Key Roles & Responsibilities:

Project Planning & Execution

  • Lead and supervise all MEP activities from design review to project commissioning and handover.
  • Review, finalize, and coordinate MEP design drawings, shop drawings, and technical specifications.
  • Ensure MEP systems are aligned with project timelines and construction schedules.
  • Coordinate with architects, consultants, structural teams, and contractors to ensure smooth execution.

Design & Technical Management

  • Review and validate MEP design layouts, load calculations, BOQs, and technical submissions.
  • Provide technical guidance and resolve design or execution challenges at site.
  • Ensure all MEP installations comply with statutory requirements, safety standards, and project specifications.
  • Monitor system integration of HVAC, Fire Fighting, Electrical, ELV, Water Supply, Drainage, and Plumbing systems.

Budgeting & Cost Control

  • Prepare MEP project budgets and track cost control measures.
  • Monitor procurement plans and ensure cost optimization without compromising quality.
  • Review contractor bills, vendor quotations, and material specifications.

Vendor & Contractor Management

  • Identify, evaluate, and coordinate with MEP vendors, consultants, and contractors.
  • Monitor contractor performance and ensure adherence to project quality and safety standards.
  • Conduct regular site inspections and progress review meetings with stakeholders.

Quality Assurance & Compliance

  • Ensure adherence to quality standards, statutory regulations, and safety norms.
  • Conduct inspections, testing, and commissioning of MEP installations.
  • Maintain documentation related to approvals, testing reports, and compliance certifications.

Manpower & Resource Management

  • Plan and manage manpower deployment for MEP execution.
  • Allocate resources efficiently to achieve project milestones.
  • Provide training and technical guidance to site teams.

Project Monitoring & Reporting

  • Track MEP project progress and provide regular status reports to management.
  • Identify risks and implement mitigation strategies.
  • Ensure timely project completion and smooth handover to operations/maintenance teams.

Operations & Maintenance Support

  • Assist in developing preventive maintenance plans for installed MEP systems.
  • Support facility and maintenance teams during project transition and commissioning.

 

Qualifications & Experience:

Education:

  • Tech in Civil Engineering / Mechanical / Electrical Engineering (Mandatory)
  • Tech or relevant specialization (Preferred)

Experience:

  • Total Experience: 8–10 years
  • MEP-Specific Experience: Minimum 7 years
  • Minimum 3 years in a managerial or leadership role

Industry Exposure:

  • Experience in Commercial / Residential / Township / Plotting Projects.
  • Exposure to projects with minimum project value of ₹150 Crore or above.

Preferred Organizations:

  • Akshat, Mahima, Aashiyana, DLF, Omaxe, Ansal, Amrapali, Supertech, Raheja, or similar reputed real estate/construction firms.
  • Knowledge of relevant codes, statutory norms, and safety regulations.

Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Project, ERP systems, and project management tools.
